I enjoy working in the public health field and embrace the journey of a lifelong learner. My credentials include a bachelor’s degree in physical education, master’s degree in health education, PhD in public health, and master certified health education specialist (MCHES). My research interests are focused on culture-based differentiated instruction, at-risk youth, chronic disease prevention, curriculum development, and instructional strategies to increase student performance, attendance, retention, and graduation rates. When I am not teaching, I enjoy the outdoors, reading biographies and presidential history, numismatics, and studying centenarian populations. Other hobbies and passions of mine include hunting whitetail deer, cooking, gardening, and physical fitness.
