Marsha L. Rutledge, PhD, NCC, is an Associate Professor in the Counselor Education program at Longwood University. Dr. Rutledge is a former Professional School Counselor with 18 years of school counseling experience. Dr. Rutledge’s research interests include career development of racial-ethnic minority female youth, improving outcomes for minoritized student populations, and culturally responsive school counseling. Dr. Rutledge is an active member of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and the Virginia School Counselor Association (VSCA), where she has served in many capacities. She served as the former Chair of the Anti-Racism Committee for ASCA. Dr. Rutledge has presented at several national, state, and local conferences.
