Dr. Adrienne Sudbury grew up in East Tennessee and earned her Ph.D. in Economics at The University of Tennessee. While earning her doctorate, she was recognized for excellence in teaching and research winning the Haslam College of Business Award for Outstanding Doctoral Student Teacher and the J. Fred and Wilma Holly Award for Excellence in Presented Research. Before coming to Longwood University, she worked as a research assistant at the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research, contributing to many state analyses including the annual Economic Report to the Governor. Her research interests include Behavioral and Public Economics related to crowdfunding, philanthropy, and crime. Education: B.S. in Economics from The University of Tennessee, Chattanooga (2015), M.S. in Economics from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville (2016), Ph.D. in Economics from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville (2020).
