Stephanie Watts, EdD, is an Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education in the Department of Education and Counseling. She has a bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech in Family and Child Development, a master's degree from Lynchburg College in Early Childhood Special Education, an education specialist degree from the University of Virginia in Administration and Supervision, and a doctoral degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Educational Leadership. 

Dr. Watts' research interests encompass educating students with disabilities, education and poverty, and differentiation of instruction for all learning styles. She has worked in public schools systems in Halifax County and Martinsville City, serving as a classroom teacher in Early Childhood Special Education and grades 1, 2, 3, & 5, as well as in serving as an Associate Principal in two K-5 elementary schools. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys time spent with family and friends.
