Please join us for the Spring Student Showcase for Research and Creative Inquiry on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
We have an exciting set of in-person events planned starting at 9:00am, with over 250 presentations by undergraduate students scheduled on April 20.
The day is going to be organized like a conference, with hour-long poster sessions occurring in the Blackwell Ballroom all day (9:45-3:15), and concurrent oral presentation sessions occurring in classrooms in Rotunda and Bedford (9:45-4:00). There also will be theater performances in the CSTAC Lab Theater, the Junior Art Show in the Bedford Atrium, and the Longwood Excellence in Research and Creative Inquiry and Incite Award Ceremony in the Virginia Room.
New to the Spring Showcase this year is the Inclusive Excellence Symposium on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. This exciting event will begin with a Keynote Address by Ms. Shayla Betts, Assistant Professor of Social Work and Founding Co-Director, U.S. Race and Ethnic Studies Minor at 9:00am in the Virginia Room. Student presentations on DEIB-based research topics will occur in the Virginia Room and in Blackwell Ballroom from 9:45 to 3:15.
