About the show:

First Date is a hilarious, contemporary Broadway Musical Comedy featuring a catchy, pop-infused score and unforgettable characters. Equal parts sitcom and rom-com, First Dates gives audiences a fun and relatable glimpse into that thrilling, nerve-wracking, exciting and terrifying experience we have all had: a First Date! Premiering on Broadway in 2013, First Date exists squarely in our contemporary world.

About the roles:

Roles available include Aaron, a conservative, Jewish guy working in finance looking for that connection and special relationship. Casey, an edgy, smart, no-nonsense serial date who has lowered her expectations but not her standards. They are supported by an ensemble that plays a variety of roles from the wise Waiter who guides them through their meal and more, Reggie, Casey’s gay best friend offering assistance through the tried and true emergency bailout and a myriad of exes, family members and more.

About our guest director Ethan Paulini:

I am thrilled to get to work with the Longwood community on this show. As a multi-hyphenate theatre artist I approach directing with a real focus on helping the actors bring themselves to the characters they portray. Even though this show is a lot of fun, I look forward to collaborating with the actors to find the authenticity and honesty in this piece. If we can find that, the laughs will flow both in the rehearsal room and the audience.
