Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with a cultural-immersion field trip to the Wolf Creek Cherokee Museum in Henrico, Virginia, on November 30, 2018. We’ll tour the museum, meet local Cherokee tribe members, and learn about and explore an archaeological site. We hope to have an archeologist on site.
The event and transportation are FREE, but seating is limited to 25 and is on a first-come/first-serve basis. Attendees will be responsible for the cost of their lunches at the nearby Olive Garden. Registration at link expired
The bus leaves campus at 8:00 a.m., and we expect to return to campus by 4:00 p.m.
The Museum personnel ask that we wear comfortable shoes and “play clothes” because the archaeological site is in a wooded area one mile from the museum via trailer.
This event is co-sponsored by Citizen Leadership and Social Justice Education (CLSJE) and the Student Diversity and Inclusion Council (SDIC).
